Data we collect
- Identity and contact details, including name, email address and telephone number.
- Property and service details, including address or postcode, access information, requested work, messages, photographs and uploaded certificates.
- Contract, payment, inspection, test, remedial-work and certificate records.
- Technical and security information supplied by our hosting platform, such as IP address, device/browser information, timestamps and request logs.
- Your cookie and functional-technology preference.

We do not use solely automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
Who receives data
We use service providers only where needed to operate the business, including Netlify for website hosting, forms, serverless processing and managed database services; Google for delivery of website font files; Setmore when you choose to load or use live booking; email and communications providers; professional advisers; insurers; and engineers or subcontractors assigned to deliver the work. WhatsApp links take you to a separate Meta service governed by its own privacy information. We do not sell personal data.
Some providers may process information outside the UK. Where UK data-protection law requires safeguards, we rely on an adequacy regulation or approved contractual safeguards and supplementary measures as appropriate. Contact us for more information about safeguards relevant to your data.
Public certificate verification
A person with a certificate reference can view limited headline certificate information to check authenticity. Do not share a certificate reference publicly. Contact us if information shown by the verifier is inaccurate or should no longer be available.
Retention
- Unconverted enquiries, quote requests and related uploads: normally up to 24 months after the last meaningful contact.
- Customer, job, invoice, inspection and certificate records: normally six years after the work or customer relationship ends, or longer where a specific safety, regulatory, insurance or legal requirement applies.
- Security logs: retained for the shorter period set by the hosting provider and needed to investigate abuse or incidents.
- Cookie preferences: requested again after 180 days, or earlier if you clear browser storage or the technology changes materially.
We may retain information longer where needed for an active dispute, legal hold or regulatory investigation, and securely delete or anonymise it when no longer required.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. We may need to verify your identity and may refuse or limit a request where the law permits.

Security, children and updates
We apply proportionate technical and organisational safeguards and restrict access to people who need the data. No internet service is completely secure. This website and our electrical services are not directed at children; a parent or guardian should contact us on a child's behalf where necessary.
